User Management

User Access

As a Company Administrator you are able to manage user access and permissions. You are able to add, edit, and delete users and give them access to specific Facilities and Scenarios within your tenant.

There are times when a user is not able to be deleted (e.g. if their user recorded is tied to an audit log). In these cases the user will be marked as inactive.

User Permissions

A user can be assigned to any number of Facilities but can only have one Role per Facility. As user is allowed to have different Roles in different Facilities.

Newton has four built in roles: Company Administrator, Company Reviewer, Analyst, and Reviewer. The Company Administrator/Reviewer roles are assigned independent of a Facility. The Company Administrator role is required to manage other users and their roles. The Analyst and Reviewer role are assigned in the context of a Facility.

Company Administrators/Reviewers can access all facilities and cannot be assigned any other roles.

This table shows the permissions that are granted for each role:

Security

Newton supports Single Sign On with two different login flows: Active Directory Integration and Passwordless. The Passwordless login flow is the default for all users unless the tenant has linked their Active Directory to Newton. If you would like to enable Active direction Authentication in Newton please contact support.
