AllAssets Release Notes - April 17th 2025

Welcome to the AllAssets April 2025 Release.  This is a small release with three new features and six bug fixes.

The reason for the small release is that the Developers have been working on two major new enhancements to the application which are due to be released in May.  Please see further down in this document.

New Features

Baseline Thickness Readings

The development team have added a feature to allow a User to specify that a Thickness Reading is a Baseline Thickness Reading when uploading a Thickness Report for the first time for a Thickness Location.

Setting the flag on a first time Thickness Reading will mean that the Measurement is ignored when the system is calculating the Long and Short Term Corrosion Rates.

Please note that the "Baseline" flag is also included in the data upload files for the Thickness Reports, thus allowing Users to continue to carry out mass uploads for thickness readings with the added benefit of being able to determine which measurements are Baseline Readings.

Create new Inspection Report

The Development Team have made a small but significant change to the process of Manually adding an Inspection Report.  If the User has an Asset Selected in the Inspection Report screen, when they click on "New Inspection Report Item" the Application pre-populates the current Site and Asset Name.

Create New Thickness Report

The developers have included the same auto-populate  functionality for the Thickness Reports as well.

Bug fixes

Copying Asset Details - Relief Device Locations and Physical Relief Devices

When copying a Relief Device Location or a Physical Relief Device the application now retains all of the configuration settings for these Devices

Media Attachments - PDF Files not showing

In the Media Attachments, PDF Files were not being displayed.  This has now been resolved and the Users can see all pages of the full document in Preview mode.

Multiple Assets with same name

The Developers have re-fixed an issue where Users were allowed to create duplicate Assets in the same location.  This is no longer possible and the Application warns the Users that they are unable to create Assets with duplicate names in the same location.

PowerBI Empty String issues

In the past there had been some issues with empty string values in the PowerBI data.  The developers had been resolving them one at a time.  We have now included a fix that covers all cases.

Mass Risk -  Timeout Issues

Recently the Mass Risk was occasionally reporting erroneous timeout issues.  The developers have addressed this and these will be far less likely to happen.

Mass Risk - Deleted Assets

The Mass Risk sometimes did not exclude deleted Assets.  The Developers have tightened up the criteria in the Mass Risk Run creation.

AllAssets Release for May 2025

This release will contain two significant improvements to the AllAssets Application

Mitigations

With a desire to focus on simplified mitigation management, Pinnacle have made some significant changes to the way that Mitigations are handled as follows:

  •     No Draft/Active plan concept
    • We have removed the concept of the list of Recommendations and the Draft and Active Mitigation Plan.  We now simply have a mitigation plan with Tasks with four statuses
      • Recommended
      • Active
      • Closed
      • Rejected
  •     Reduced mouse clicks
    • Far fewer mouse clicks to achieve a better resulting Mitigation Plan
  •     Auto generation feature
    • When a Mitigation Task is linked to an Inspection Report or a Thickness Report the Application flags this task as closed and creates a new replacement Recommended Task
  •     Recurring ad-hoc task functionality
    • Ad-hoc tasks, now called Manual Tasks, are now more or less identical to Tasks created by Risk Runs.  They can be recurring and will persist at all times until they are closed by the User
    • Users can link Inspection Reports to Manual Tasks and these will behave in the same way as RBI Tasks, namely they will be closed and the Application will create a replacement Recommended Manual Task.
  •     Time based planning without reliance on risk model
    • The Manual Tasks allow Users to have fully Time-based Mitigations without any need to link an Asset to any "risk" model.

AllAssets Events Improvements

The Pinnacle Team are undertaking a two phased initiative to improve the AllAssets Events functionality.  Some of these in Phase 1 are as follows:

  • The ability to now generate Events in an Inspection Report Header and in a Thickness Report Header
  • Improved screenspace for events
    • We have icreased the amount of screenspace for an Event
    • Phase 2 will make further improvements to this
  • Inclusion of a new "Multi-line Text" field that can take large amounts of data and can be dynamically expanded.
  • Allowing Non Conformance Events to be sent to SAP (and other ERP/CMMS systems)
