AllAssets Release - August 12 2025
AllAssets Release Notes - August 12th 2025
Welcome to the AllAssets August 2025 Release. Once again this is a significant release containing some major new features as follows:
- Revised Hierarchy Item Navigation
- Location Asset Hub screen
- Creating Events through out the Hierarchy Item Journey
- Enhancements to the new Mitigations
- Revised Hierarchy Filters
1: Revised Hierarchy Item Navigation
The AllAssets development Team have made a significant change to the way that Users navigate the Hierarchy Items in the application. Our customers had raised concerns that it was difficult to navigate around all of the aspects of an Hierarchy Item without having to switch between menu items. We have now addressed this.
We have simplified the navigation process. It is now possible to see all aspects of the "Hierarchy Item Journey" without having to change screens.
Users will notice that there a new items at the top of the screen, these comprise the following:
Navigation Buttons | |
Action Buttons |
Navigation Buttons
Navigation Buttons allow the User to easily move between the different aspects of a Hierarchy Item's life cycle in one click at a time. Users can jump from Mitigations to Inspection Reports and back to Risk Analysis by clicking on the relevant Navigation Button.
Additional Functionality
It is possible to not only switch between stages of the Hierarchy Item journey using the Navigation Buttons but also to navigate between Assets, regardless of which screen the User is on. For example in the figure below the User could switch between the Mitigations Screen for Asset ACE-44-0253-AIR-CLR to Asset V-AP-T-6044 with a single click. Having moved to the new Asset the User can then access all other items for that Asset from Asset Hub to Thickness Reports.
Navigate from ACE-44-0253-AIR-CLR to V-AP-T-6044 | Now viewing Mitigations for V-AP-T-6044 |
Accessing the Navigation Buttons
The User can start from anywhere in the AllAssets Menu and they will always see the Navigation and Action Buttons. They can navigate around all areas of the life cycle and for any assets, for Example:
- User is checking a Thickness Report for an Asset - they navigate to the IDMS Section and select Thickness Reports.
- They wish to check the Mitigation Plan for this asset. From here they click on the Navigation Button for Mitigations
- Once in Mitigations they can select a different Asset in the Unit to check the Mitigations for that Asset - this then raises a question about the Risk Analysis so they click on the Risk Analysis Navigation Button
- Once in Risk Analysis they can also select the first Asset they were looking at to check that Risk Analysis
Action Buttons
The Development team have created a set of buttons that carry out Actions on a Hierarchy Item with a basic set of four namely Save, Add, Copy and Delete. In some screens there are Action Buttons which are unique to the screen.
At a minimum there will be an Add button but on most screens there will be a standard set of four
.
2: Location Asset Hub Screen
As part of the development of the Hierarchy Item Hub development the team has created some additional functionality that has been requested by a number of customers looking to see a summary of data on their Locations, Assets and Components.
The team has created a "Location Asset Hub" which provides the User with a summary of all of the Assets within that particular Location. The summary has a chart showing the numbers of Assets within the Location, and a grid showing the following information:
- Asset Name
- Parent Name
- Description
- Template
- Model
- IPN
- Risk Level
- No of Mitigations
- No of overdue Mitigations
- Date of latest Inspection Report
- Date of latest Thickness Report
The Location Asset Hub appears when the User clicks on a Location which does not have a Risk Model and which has one or more Assets in it. By default the grid displays the Assets in order from High Risk to no Risk as below:
When the User clicks on an Asset Name, this opens the Asset Details screen in a new Browser Tab.
The Users can Sort each of the Columns using the sort arrows in each column.
The User can use the to Search on all columns with the exception of the two Date columns
The User can download the on-screen data in to an Excel spreadsheet using the download icon located in the Action Button Set on this screen.
3: Creating Events through out the Hierarchy Item Journey
The Development team have now enabled the Events functionality in all parts of the Application. As well as in the Inspection Report Observations It is now possible to create Events in the following Locations:
- Hierarchy Item Details
- Risk Analysis
- Mitigations
- Inspection Report Header (Released in May 2025)
- Thickness Report Header (Released in May 2025)
In every screen where the Events can be created the User sees the Events Action Button and when the User created an Event the application automatically generates an Identifier for the Event to indicate where it was generated from as follows:
4: Enhancements to the new Mitigations screen
The Development Team have added two enhancements to the Mitigations screen as follows:
- Last Updated by - Records the User who last updated a Mitigation Task, and please note that the Last Updated Date has already been in place since the last release.
- "No. of" Values now expressed as integers. for Mitigation items like No of Tees, No of Bends etc. if the Mitigation Extent was 30% for example these values were represented as fractional numbers. Now all numbers are rounded up to the nearest Integer.
5: Revised Hierarchy Filters
We have revised the Hierarchy Filters Dialog, and removed some un-used items. The new Hierarchy Filters are as follows:
