The Mitigations allow the User to select one or more Mitigation Task type

Recommended

The Tasks in the Mitigation plan with the status of Recommended are generated in two ways, and these represent the Recommended Inspection Strategy for the relevant Mechanism and Method for the Asset. The two ways that these are generated are as follows:

  1. Risk Run - Using either an individual Risk Run or the Mass Risk Tool the Application recommends one or more Mitigation Tasks for the Asset.
  2. Closing an Active Mitigation Task - This is a new feature in AllAssets that creates a new Recommended Mitigation Task when the current Active task is linked to an Inspection Report or a Thickness Report and flagged as closed.  The new Recommended Task is an exact copy of the previous Active Task
Active

All Active Tasks represent the current Mitigation Plan for the Asset.  In the previous AllAssets version the User created a Draft Plan and then Activated the Plan.  The new Version of AllAssets has an open Plan to which the User can add and remove Tasks whenever needed.  Unlike in the old version where the Active Mitigation Plan was not editable, the User can freely edit any aspects of the Active Mitigation plan.  At any stage the User can add to or remove from the Active Plan by either:

Closed

The functionality of the Mitigation Plans has been significantly enhanced in the new version.  A Mitigation Task is considered to be closed  then the User completes one of the following actions:

  • Uploads one or more Inspection Reports
  • Manually adds and Inspection Report
  • Uploads one or more Thickness Reports
  • Manually adds a Thickness Report

If the Master Inspection Method in the Reports create a link between the Report and the Mitigation Plan the relevant Mitigation Task is closed.  The process of closing an Active Mitigation Task results in the following:

The closed Task is linked to the relevant Report (Inspection or Thickness)

The Application generates a fresh Recommendation from the Closed Task with a revised Due Date which is calculated from the Inspection Date from the Report (Last Inspection Date) and the Frequency of the Task.

Rejected

Rejected Tasks represent tasks that the User has decided will not be part of the ongoing Mitigation Plan.   In the older version of the Mitigations the User would decide to not include a Recommendation in a Draft Mitigation Plan.  In the new Mitigations the User must actively decide to Reject a recommendation.  A user can set a Recommended Task or and Active Task to be Rejected.

Legend

The legend provides the User with a guide to the color coding of the Mitigation Tasks.  The most important colors relate to the Active Tasks.

  • Tasks with a green background are Active and are planned for the future
  • Tasks with a pink background are Overdue Mitigations and need to be addressed accordingly

Frozen Columns

The new Mitigations now have frozen columns.  The first four columns, Status, Mechanism, Method and Due Date are frozen and the User can use the horizontal scroll bar to reveal the remainder of the information about the Mitigation Tasks while being able to relate the data with the correct Mitigation.
